a fish (Spanish pez erizo "hedgehog fish"). Three sorts are distinguished:

titeve taratara, which stretches out its quills when floating on the sea;

titeve moana, with a blue back and short quills;

titeve kapovai, large, with a very rough skin, but no proper quills.
